Classified is a one of Canada’s most celebrated hip-hop artists. In recent years, the Nova Scotia native has scored a #1 album on the Canadian Albums Chart and worked with hip-hop royalty like Snoop Dogg, DJ Premier, B.o.B., Royce Da 5’9″, Joe Budden, Kardinal Offishall, and many more. Now, Classified is joining forces with R.A. The Rugged Man for the official remix to his underground anthem “Hoodie And A Ballcap”. The original version of “Hoody And A Ballcap” appears on Classified‘s latest album Grateful, which is now available for purchase.
R.A. The Rugged Man joins talented up-and-coming Fort Lauderdale, Florida emcee Hi-Rez on “Drop Top”. The track is featured on Hi-Rez‘s new mixtape Never Say Die, which is now available on iTunes, Soundcloud, DatPiff, and Apple Music. Check out Never Say Die now.
While she continues to receive nonstop criticism, controversial pop princess Miley Cyrus may have found an unlikely kindred spirit in underground rap legend R.A. The Rugged Man. “I heard people saying how gross and offensive the new Miley video was, so I had to check it out,” R.A. explains. “It reminded me of my dirty, crusty, degenerate days, back when I used to make songs about ripping cunts out with spoons. Plus it was the hardest beat. I was like, ‘Yo, I gotta slay this Miley Cyrus track!’ It didn’t even sound right coming out of my mouth, but I had to do it.”
The result is an X-rated lyrical slaughter in classic Rugged Man fashion. While Miley may be the latest musical artist to use sex and controversy to her advantage, R.A. The Rugged Man has been pissing people off with offensive material for over two decades. The original version of “Dooo It!” can be found on Miley Cyrus And Her Dead Petz.
At a recent performance, R.A. invited a beatboxer from the crowd to join him for a unexpected performance of the classic Rugged Man track “Stanley Kubrick”, off R.A.’s acclaimed compilation Legendary Classics, Vol. 1. Order now at iTunes or Amazon.
